Darcy

Darcy, my female dog maltese, has threw up, difficulty swallowing, and eats nonfood items (grass, feces, ...)

I have a maltese and three days ago she got diarhea, sudden shaking and crying, desoritation, no apetite, heavy breathing. Yesterday she got fever and her heart was beating fast, she had problems with breathing. 5 minutes ago she throw up and she didnt eat all day. Every night is getting worse and worse. I also found a tick on her yesterday but it wasnt attached it was walking on her. I give her pills against ticks and fleas every 3 months. What is the problem with her, should we visit the vet?

Hello!

Not eating or drinking is usually a sign something is wrong with your dog's health, and it could be serious.

The earlier you find out what is causing your dog's problems, the better your chances are of taking the control of it.

Since she has severe symptoms for days now, take her to a vet urgently, so he/she can determine the diagnosis and give her corresponding treatment.

Don't self-medicate your pets. Keep in mind that not knowing of medications and their compounds, as well as the effect they have on our pets can produce serious harms.

All the best for you and Darcy.
