Constipation can have several causes: eating non-food items, inadequate diet, gastrointestinal problems, parasites (especially in puppies that are not dewormed).

If your pet has lost more fluid than he or she has ingested, either by vomiting, persistent diarrhea, lack of drinking water, etc. he or she may be suffering from dehydration, so it is important to give your pet fluids as soon as possible and slowly.

In order to identify the cause and solve the problems, we recommend going to the veterinarian, because if the condition does not improve it can cause a bowel or obstruction with serious consequences for your pet's health.

All the best,
