Rodent Darow

Darow, my male rodent unknown, has difficulty walking or standing up, disorientation, and limp

My rat has had a sudden loss of motor function. It happened over night a few weeks ago and he can barely walk. When he does walk he drags his feet behind him and moves quite slowly. He's also covered in scabs but has no bugs and his brother is never that rough with him. He is also very weak and is unable to climb or move farther than required to survive save for him occasionally coming to us when we open his cage. He was on medication after his last vet visit, but she didn't know what was wrong with him and in turn gave him an anti inflammatory, a pain medication, and an antibiotic. It was a 9 day course and he returned to normal for a while before going back down hill. We really want to know if this is something that will lead to an early death or permanent loss of motor function.

It is too difficult to be sure that the problem of Darow is from the treatment. It might be, but also, Darow might have another serious disease. The rats and mice usually have very different diseases with difficult diagnosis.

Vitamin B complex would be good for the Darow´s neurological problem.

Kind regards,
