Firstly, your bird should get used to you as his owner. It is important that you approach the cage several times a day and especially at the same time every day.

The routine of your behavior will make him gain more confidence.

When approaching the cage, use each time a phrase or a word that your bird will start associating with you. You can also give him or put in a cage something to eat each time you visit, and try to make a habit out of it.

However, we would recommend you to take him to the vet for the general assessment to rule out any medical problem. However, if you contact the ethologist then they will be able to help you particularly with your case.
