Cat Marcy

I have doubts about pregnancy or reproduction of Marcy, my female cat american shorthair

A neighborhood cat followed me home last night. I saw she was pregnant, I believe about 5-6 weeks. We took her in for now. I also noticed she didn’t have any flees or dirt on her. So she gets taken care from other neighbors. I don’t know if I should keep her indoors until she has her kittens. Or let her back out even though it’s cold.

If you have a place to keep her inside, it would be great.
It is important that the cat is in a quiet, stress-free environment both during pregnancy and at the moment of delivery.
When she begins with labor, if there are no problems there is no need for you to interfere; but in case of complications, make sure you take her to your veterinarian.

As for the kittens, if the delivery goes without complications, the normal thing is that they are born healthy and without any problems. In case the mother rejected them, you will have to take that role: feed them with bottle, and make sure they have a warm resting area (nest).

All the best for you and Marcy.
