Cat Matilda

Matilda, my female cat american shorthair, has cough, sneezing, and vomit

Hi! I kept my cat at a friend’s house that had six cats and four dogs while I was on a business trip for 10 days. When I got her back, it seemed like she had lost her voice. It’s been 5 days and she’s coughs and sneezes sometimes through the day. I know my friend mentioned that their kitten had a cold, has my cat caught it too? Symptoms, raspy meow (practically lost her voice), coughing, sneezing (no runny nose or watery eyes though), gagging (she threw up once, and gags occasionally but nothing comes up.

Cough in cats can have several causes: viral illness, bronchitis, asthma, heart worm, etc. You should take your cat to the vet so he/she can perform a complete checkup to determine the cause and give her an appropriate treatment.

All the best for you and Matilda.
